Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the training?
Most sessions run 60-90 minutes, depending on group size and discussion time. We can tailor the length for classrooms, churches, staff development sessions or community events
How many people can participate?
The simulation works best with 10–40 participants, but we can adapt it for smaller or larger groups. For large audiences, we use a “witness format,” where one person plays the survivor and others observe the unfolding choices and consequences.
What type of space is needed?
For full simulations, we recommend a room with space for 6–8 stations that participants can walk between. Each station includes scenario cards, role instructions, and short prompts. For smaller settings, a single open area is fine.
Who should attend?
- Faith leaders and clergy
- College and high school students
- Educators and social workers
- Businesses and community organizations
- Civic or service groups (Rotary, sororities, fraternities, etc.)
What will participants learn?
- Attendees leave with a deeper understanding of:
- The complex choices survivors face when seeking help
- How emotional, financial, and psychological abuse affect decision-making
- Why community response and empathy matter
- Practical ways to support survivors and connect them to help
Is this training emotional or triggering?
This is a powerful experience, and emotions can surface. Each session ends with a guided debrief and resource sharing to ensure participants leave grounded, supported, and empowered to take action.
